2. COMPOSITION
Sodic-calcium glass with the following per cent mean composition:

| Sodium Oxide | 12 - 16% |
| Potassium Oxide | 0.1 - 0.2% |
| Calcium Oxide | 5 - 12% |
| Magnesium Oxide | 0 - 6% |
| Aluminium Oxide | 0 - 3% |
| Dye Oxide (Fe, Cr, ecc) | 0 - <0.1% |
The small quantities of oxides used as dye agents can be identified through chemical analyses; during the melting process these oxides modify and loose the original properties. The possible quantities of metal or metal oxides put on the glass surface to obtain peculiar physical properties are too small to be considered in the aims of this document.

In case of CUTS: | follows the first aid pratice and if necessary see a doctor. |

5. FIRE- FIGHTING MEASURES
Not combustible. Quenching means: no limits.
6. ACCIDENTAL UNPACKING MEASURES
In case of accidental unpacking of plates or pieces please follow normal handling pratice. In case of glass chips try to remove without raising powder.

8. EXPOSURE AND PROTECTION
Under normal condition there is no exposure to powder/vapour to expect. During glass cutting or grinding you can be exposed to powders containing amorphous- shaped silicates and other undissolvable compounds. The room must be well-aired in order to avoid exposure beyond powder limit value (TVL=10mg/m3).

13. WASTE TREATMENT
Any selected cullet can be totally recycled and has to be collected in proper containers. For waste purpose the products can be placed in a dump and treated as solid rubbish.
14. FREIGHT REQUIREMENTS
The plate-glasses must be closed and secured in order to avoid any shifting and reduce breaking strains on the corners. The means of transport must be equipped for containig eventual glass fragments
